home tour – the bedroom

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying your Thursday morning so far. I know I am!

Today I’m revealing our bedroom and I’m quite excited!

I get a lot of questions about my home, so I thought I would start a little home series and start with where I sleep.

We’re moving in just under two weeks, so I’m excited to see what we’ll do with our new place. These are kind of like before pictures and a nice little reminder of what our first place looked like!

Also, if I forget to say where something is, just ask! It might not be available anymore, but I love going on the hunt for similar, new items.

Welcome to my bedroom everyone! The room is small, so this is pretty much the view of the whole room when you walk in.

The bedding is from Ikea; that includes the duvet cover, sheets and pillow cases.

The pillows are collected over some time from Indigo. They no longer sell those particular pillows, but they have new ones every single season.

Rick’s nightstand was challenging because he didn’t know what he wanted besides the lamp. The lamps are from Target.

We went with a picture frame from Target as well … (ignore the photos that clearly don’t fit properly).

The newest item on his nightstand is our nebulizer (we’re obsessed). It replaced a candle and you can get it here. I’ll talk more about that in a separate post!

These night stands are from Ikea and I love them because of the shelf and storage below. That shelf was fuller with books but they’ve been packed away due to the move.

I’ve styled some of my favourite lifestyle/fashion books on my nightstand. I recommend all of them ps.

These gold letters above our night stands are one my favourite purchases. I tried to find letters that were within our budget and would fit the feel of the room. These are also from Indigo and were on sale. They currently have white and black ones available and gold comes out around Christmas time.

The initial necklace (I wear every day) is from American Eagle. The mountain necklace was a birthday gift from Rick and is from Fifth and Mae (super cute jewelry for cheap!).

I’m constantly changing up my nightstand but as of right now this is what is there. The miracles now cards are a newer purchase and were purchased from Indigo. These are fun and inspirational; start my day off on a positive note.

The body cream is from Aerie and smells delightful!

The bkr bottle was something I wanted for a long time. My sister got it for me for Christmas and I’m obsessed. They’re pretty pricey for a bottle, so I recommend finding them on Amazon for cheaper. Just a ps. mine is in the ‘holiday’ colour.

This little guy is a staple on my nightstand and has been with me for a while. I got him from Anthropologie and I knew the moment I saw him, I had to have him.

I searched high and low for a basket that was within my budget and would go with the flow of our home. I snagged this one from Indigo last year on sale (sweet success!)

The throw blanket is from Target and is so so soft.

The mirror was a gift from my Aunt a few years ago. It never made it on the wall (clearly), so I paired it with the basket.

This is our very small closet (someone build me a walk-in). Due to lack of space in the room, we put the matching dresser (to our night stands) in the closet.

We never got around to putting anything on our walls except this guy! I love our whale, which is also from Target .. similar one here.

Our intention was to have a mint/blue accent for this room, but he was the only thing that we got in that colour!

So that is my room tour!

I tried my best to make the small space work. Pinterest was a big help in finding room inspiration, but I mostly just knew what I wanted and went for it.

Let me know if you have any questions! I love love love home decor, so I’d love to hear what inspires you/hear what you’re looking to do in your home!

Stay tuned for the next room tour on the blog next week.
